From 06 to 07 March 2018, staff members from the National Accreditation Bodies and the Market Surveillance Authorities of the six partner countries met in Tbilisi to determine the basis for the future PTB Eastern Partnership project. Together with the leading experts of the project Rózsa Rind and Ivan Hendrikx, they discussed the results of the fact-finding mission from September 2017 and agreed on common goals which will be worked on in the 3-year project period which started in November 2018.
Next to the planning processes, Ms Ring and Mr Hendrikx shared their knowledge with the participants about the latest developments in accreditation and the market surveillance practices in the European Union.
To create a better working atmosphere and to learn more about the venue of the event, Tbilisi, the participants went for a guided walking tour and a joint dinner.
The Planning Workshop was supported by PTB Consultant MsTamar Labartkava and the two interpreters Ms Kira Chokhuri and Ms Lali Douglas-Hamilton.
