Georgia’s commitments under the EU-Georgia Association Agreement

Georgia makes strong developments to implement the EU-Georgia Association Agreement. In the 3rd Association Implementation Report on Georgia, released on 31 January, the improvements in the field of technical barriers to trade are mentioned too:  

"[...] Georgia has continued to improve the national quality infrastructure, in particular in the field of: a) standards and metrology, where the laboratory of humidity has undergone a peer review to obtain international recognition as a valid reference laboratory; b) accreditation, where the Georgian Accreditation Centre is preparing for the implementation of EU standards, including in the areas of information security management and occupational health and safety; c) market surveillance, where the Technical and Construction Supervision Agency is progressing in the provision of market surveillance services for a range of industrial as well as consumer products."
